Slip & Slide Ranch offers a unique Bed & Breakfast experience with accomodations at the ranch house. We also rent our mountain lodge to individuals and groups looking for a more secluded getaway.

Slip & Slide Ranch is located just 12 miles from Gardiner, Montana - the original entrance to Yellowstone National Park - the area offers many diverse vacation opportunities.

Gardiner offers varied dining opportunities, a fine art gallery, several jewelry shops offering hand-crafted silver, and many other shops designed to interest travelers.

Livingston, Montana, 45 miles North of the ranch, has art galleries, a summer theatre, and many shops catering to the needs of outdoor enthusiasts. Also nearby is a nationally renowned 4-star restaurant with a hot springs swimming pool.

Bed & Breakfast

Our close proximity to Yellowstone National Park offers families the opportunity to enjoy the unparalleled beauty of Yellowstone and, then, to get away from crowds for evenings at the ranch.

Our facility includes three bedrooms, two baths, and a generously sized family room area with satellite dish and cooking facilities. In addition to this, the Bed & Breakfast has its own entrance and a patio (with picnic table and gas grill) where you can relax in the evenings and enjoy the view of magnificent Electric Peak.

We depart from the traditional Bed & Breakfast by catering to families and groups who want the privacy of having the space to themselves. We follow the traditional Bed & Breakfast by providing a generous ranch style breakfast. In the past, fishermen visiting the Paradise Valley and Yellowstone have enjoyed the amenities that this space offers.

From the ranch we also offer horseback rides. These can be pleasure rides into the Absaroka-Beartooth wilderness Area or day rides into a multitude of back country lakes. A portion of the ranch borders the Yellowstone River where families can enjoy fishing or, if you prefer, there is fishing available at two private lakes that the ranch offers.

Lodge Rental

A Unique Retreat
At a mountain site at the edge of the ranch property, a lodge was built in 1990. Located 3 miles from the main ranch buildings, the incredibly panoramic site makes an excellent choice for families, groups, or fishing parties to enjoy a taste of the lifestyle of Montana.

The Lodge
Looking out on magnificent Electric Peak, the lodge is surrounded by pines. Fashioned from rough-cut logs, the three-story building sleeps 12. The bottom level provides two bedrooms and bath as well as a dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The main floor has an additional bedroom, a bathroom, and a spacious family area. The loft has six single beds.

Off the family area is a large deck, providing a perfect place to relax at the end of your day. We also have a gas grill, wood-burning pellet stove, T.V., and phone. The lodge provides a great place for retreats, family get-togethers, or fishing parties; it is completely stocked...all you bring is the food you will eat.

During your stay, you are our only guests.

Bookings

The lodge is rented at a flat rate for a 3 day minimum stay. There are extra charges for riding and fishing trips. A total trip package and price can be arranged for your group. Since we are a small, family operation, we may also adjust and provide services not outlined here.
